The Guinean girl who tested positive for COVID-19 and escaped from quarantine in Tamale has been found in Accra – Ghana’s deputy minister for health, Alexander Kodwo Kom Abban made the profound revelation.

The young woman was part of a cohort of 10 Guineans who tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Tamale

Deputy Minister of Health, Alexander Kodwo Kom Abban made the rather breathtaking revelation on Citi FM’s Saturday morning show The Big Issue. The lady was part of 10 Guineans all of who tested positive for the coronavirus and were kept in quarantine in the Northern Regional Capital of Ghana. Her current location and the circumstances that surround her arrest were not disclosed.

It would be recalled that Salifu Saeed, Northern Regional Minister spoke earlier the coronavirus patient in Tamale escaped from the hospital after she was quarantined had still not been found.

This was after Minister of Information Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah stated clearly that all the foreigners from Guinea who tested positive for COVID-19 in Tamale would be sent back.

Thus far, the Guineans have still been in the country as reports indicate that their home country refused to take them back in a bid to avoid the spread of COVID-19.
