Greater Accra Regional Ridge Hospital to Embark on ‘Emergency Week Celebration’ on 26th November

An emergency department (ED),  is a medical treatment facility at the hospital which specializes  in emergency medicine ,  acute care of patients who present without prior appointment; either by their own means or by that of an ambulance.

Over the past few years, the Emergency Department at the Greater Accra Regional Ridge Hospital in Ghana has played a paramount role , due to the fact that at every point in time , there is a critically ill patient requiring more than the normal intervention from the ED staff to stay alive.

In this regard, the Emergency Medicine Department at the Greater Accra Regional Ridge Hospital is embarking on a 5-day celebration to engage the media in a press briefing highlighting on the effective emergency medical care at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital in the country and beyond, and also to undertake a medical screening for the media  with merry making.

The ceremony which will commence on Monday 26th to Friday 30th of November,2018 will also engage the Emergency Staff at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital and other stakeholders as well as the media from 9 AM to 12 Noon each day at the Emergency Department of Ridge Hospital .

Speaking to  Miss Sarah Danquah , a triage Nurse at the Emergency Department at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital,who happens to be one of the organisers of the event ,  she told hello-gh.com that this is the maiden edition and that they cant wait to let world know more about the Emergency Department at the Hospital, expressing her excitement concerning the celebration.

Some of the dignitaries expected to attend are: Dr Emmanuel Srofenyo -Medical Director, Mrs Rebecca Agyare Head of Nursing.
